Auvers-sur-Oise at a glance
Auvers-sur-Oise is a village in the Val-d'Oise on the banks of the Oise, a short train ride from Paris-Nord. Most visitors come for Van Gogh, but the village has more: a château with gardens, Dr. Gachet's house, Daubigny's studio and a small absinthe museum.
The sites are spread across the village. Plan a full day if you want to see several, and check opening days: many places close on Monday or Tuesday, and some only open in the warmer months. The pages on Van Gogh in Auvers and getting to the Val-d'Oise go with this one.

Getting to Auvers-sur-Oise from Paris
