Val-d'Oise hotels and what is listed

This page lists the lodging named in local directories for the sights in this guide: a hotel in the center of Auvers-sur-Oise, two addresses in Ennery, guesthouses in Auvers and Valmondois, and the special cases of Enghien-les-Bains and Royaumont. Other options exist. A listing does not show free rooms, star ratings or prices, so confirm those with the property.

The main sights are on line H out of Paris-Nord. Staying in Paris and coming out for the day is therefore a workable alternative, as the getting there page explains.

Where to stay in Auvers-sur-Oise and Ennery

The most practical area for a trip in Van Gogh's footsteps.

In the village center

The Hôtel des Iris is listed at 21 rue du Général de Gaulle in Auvers-sur-Oise. The guesthouses Péniche Daphné's (25 rue Marcel Martin) and La Chérielle (8 rue de la Chérielle) are also in Auvers.

In Ennery

Le Château de l'Hermitage (8 rue du Parc) and Le Green des Impressionnistes (4 rue du Parc) are in Ennery. Do not look for them in central Auvers. The Château d'Ennery is listed as a whole-property rental, not by the room, so do not count on it for a single room.

In Valmondois

Chez Jules et Léonie is a guesthouse on Place Honoré Daumier in Valmondois. Valmondois is also the line H station for Auvers.

Enghien, Royaumont and Parc Astérix

Three cases to know before you book.

Enghien-les-Bains: hotel closed

The Grand Hôtel Barrière has not taken overnight guests since 20 July 2026, for a refurbishment announced to last 21 months. Its reopening is announced for 2028. According to the operator, the spa and the casino stay open. Some older descriptions still mention the hotel, so do not rely on them.

Enghien-les-Bains guide →

Royaumont Abbey

The abbey mentions its hotel service on Saturday evening from 5 p.m. That does not show a hotel open every day. Ask for dates and rates before you plan a night on site.

Parc Astérix: hotels in Plailly

The park's hotels are in Plailly in the Oise département, not in Val-d'Oise: Les Trois Hiboux, La Cité Suspendue and Les Quais de Lutèce. Prices depend on the date and occupancy.
